Its been awhile!

Its really been quite awhile since my last post.  I guess I've been busy with starting college.  I recently went to Freshman Orientation and picked my classes.  It was awful.  lol.  Afterwards I was sick for about a week, which  also sucked. ):  But now i'm all better, so i'll post again soon! :D!

Beauties Factory 120 Color Eye Shadow Palette #1 + Brush Set Review

About a week ago I received my new 120 Color Pro Eye Shadow Palette in the mail.  I was so excited! I've been waiting for it for a couple weeks.  There are many of these eye shadow palettes selling everywhere such as Manly, Beauties Factory, Coastal Scents, and BH Cosmetics.  They all slightly differ, but I believe they are basically the same thing, and made from China (BF, Manly, and BH, not sure about CS).  It also came with a nice little 5 piece brush set.  It's pretty soft and the material is not too bad, but not that great either.

So yesterday I went to the DMV with Sangwoo to get his license.  He didn't have an appointment or anything, so we decided to wait from 7:30 in the morning.  As time passed it seem like every person was called before us.  People came and left while we still sat there.  Our paper said D600.  Every letter and number was called, but not a single D showed up.


A, B, C, F, G, and even an I amazingly was called! (The I was the highlight of our day.)  Anyway, it started to rain occasionally and we worried about the weather.  We also played some Korean game, fun.  :P

Finally around 3:30pm Sangwoo asked the front desk when or if we'd be able to go.  Yes, we were there for nearly 8 hours... She told him "I told you in the morning I don't know if you would be able to take a road test or not, we canceled all road tests at 3:00pm. (They didn't even announce anything...)  Give me the paper and get out."  Then Sangwoo walks over to me and says, "Lets go".  I was just so pissed and upset, I just walked up and left.  (Which I will always regret for not saying anything.)  How rude!  Telling us to get out...  The worst part was, when we got into my car, there was someone right next to us about to take a road test!  That liar!  Keke.

Well, I was so upset, and Sangwoo felt so bad, he decided to buy me dinner at Red Lobster. (:  We also went to see "Super 8".  It was funny, decent - good movie.  


Hehe, anyway~  The day ended good, so my day was decent.  Hopefully my Bebe can get his license on his appointment!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day everyone!  Mine was not as happy as planned, but there's nothing we can really do.  We may just plan it another day because my sister had to work and my parents went to a friend's for dinner.  Anyway!  I baked a German Chocolate cake with a chocolate ring around it.

I also made him this card!  My sister lost the card we bought him, so I quickly made this~ :P

My dad's leaving for Iraq soon, and I wanted today to turn out better, but sometimes things don't happen as planned.   You never know when your parents will be gone, so you want to appreciate them as much as possible, even through the ups and downs.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Stain Review

Recently my sister Becky and I bought Maybelline's Color Sensational Lip Stain from Wal-mart. Becky and I have been lip stain fans ever since it started showing up in stores, and is basically the only lip product we use besides chap stick and the occasional lip gloss.  After searching through all the other brands, we decided upon this one.  Becky purchased "Feelin' Rosy" and I bought "Touch of Toffee".  

This product is available in ten different shades and is 0.1 Fl. Oz. 3.0 ml.  It is also a lip stain that has a marker tip.  I'll admit that we bought this product because it caught our eye.  The packaging is very lovely and each different shade is packaged according to color.

Color: 4/5  I love the colors Color Sensational Lip Stain comes in, and the color I got it in is wonderful (Touch of Toffee).  The "Feelin' Rosy" color is just as lovely, and the two are very similar.  Also, depending on how much you put on, the shade will become darker.  The biggest problem with the colors is that they are not all the exact color of the packaging, but somewhat darker.


Taste/Smell: 5/5  The taste/smell of a lip product is not a very important aspect, but I just thought i'd add it in because this lip stain's is just perfect.  The product has a sort of sweet flowery, berry flavor that is very slight, so you barely taste it.  It doesn't taste or smell awful like some products I have tried before.


Price: 4.5/5  $5 - 7  The price range of this item is decent, and like most of its competitors, it is similar.  Worth the price.


Quality: 4/5  Like all lip stains this one is pretty drying, so you may want to apply chap stick or lip gloss after.  This lip stain has the consistency of a marker, which is obvious by the felt-tip.  As claimed by the advertisement, it truly has a "Fresh, barely-there feel from vitamin-enriched berry nectar".  It is also quite long-lasting, at least 3 - 6 hours.  The biggest problem I had was getting the stuff to come out!  My sister had no problem with hers, but mine seems to only come out at specific parts of the tip, which is why I gave it a 4 and not a 5.  I guess sometimes you get lucky.


Overall: 4.5/5 I really enjoy having this lip stain.  It works pretty well, and I like the color.  It is also very easy to apply, and does not require a mirror.  Out of all my other lip stains, I use this on a daily basis.  This is one I may purchase again!

Recipe Book

Yesterday I had an amazing night with my boyfriend.  We went to the mall, Baskin Robbins, and then saw Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which by the way was pretty good.  

At Borders inside the mall I saw this lovely recipe book on sale!  It's one of those ones that are empty and you can put your own recipes within it.  My boyfriend Sangwoo is so sweet, that he bought it for me~ ㅋㅋㅋ.  You guys don't know this, but I really like to bake. Not so much cooking meals, but really any type of dessert. (:  I hope to actually use this, and as frequently as possible.  Sangwoo always teases me that i'm not going to actually use it, because I have a tendency to not use the cute things I buy and just keep them, but i'm going to prove him wrong!
